Forklift Operator

In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling, moving, and organizing inventory using various types of forklifts and material handling equipment. Your expertise will ensure smooth warehouse operations, accurate order fulfillment, and safe working conditions. Duties Operate forklifts, including counterbalance, to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse Perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently to move inventory to designated areas Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and update records accurately Conduct regular inspections of forklifts and other equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance Assist with order picking processes by selecting items according to order specifications using mechanical knowledge and precision Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock in designated zones for easy access and inventory control Follow safety protocols diligently during all operations, including proper stacking, securing loads, and adhering to safety guidelines Assist with keeping all work areas and areas of use, clean and respectful for all to enjoy Have an open mind and willingness to get tasks completed in timely manner to support customer's requests and requirements Participate in special projects requested by customers and complete them as part of a team Skills Excellent attention to detail combined with effective communication skills for coordinating with team members, customers and drivers Proven experience in warehouse distribution environments with familiarity in handling various material handling equipment Certification or training in forklift operation, including counterbalance Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic maintenance checks Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, and weight assessments Physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks and standing or walking for extended periods Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory movements and order processing This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to efficient warehouse operations while developing your skills in material handling technology.
