Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of forklifts including reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and pallet jacks to load, unload, move, and position materials within the warehouse. Perform order picking using barcode scanning technology to ensure accurate shipment processing and inventory control. Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety standards in production and warehouse safety protocols. Manage inventory levels by accurately recording movements in the warehouse management system (WMS) and conducting regular stock counts. Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Assist with shipping and receiving activities by verifying shipments against documentation and preparing goods for dispatch. Follow manual handling procedures for heavy lifting tasks while maintaining proper ergonomic practices to prevent injuries. Requirements Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts (reach truck, cherry picker, clamp truck, Hi-Lo), pallet jacks, and manual handling tools. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and shipping & receiving procedures. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards in production environments and forklift safety protocols. Ability to perform basic math calculations related to weights, measurements, and inventory counts. Strong understanding of materials handling techniques including heavy lifting, load & unload operations, and manual handling safety practices. Warehouse experience with inventory management systems and warehouse distribution processes preferred. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety standards in warehouse operations. Valid certification or training in forklift operation; additional certifications such as reach truck or cherry picker operation are a plus.
