Forklift Driver/Labourer
Liberty Consulting CanadaJob Summary We are seeking a motivated and energetic Forklift Driver/Labourer to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of forklifts and clamp trucks to move, load, and unload goods efficiently within the warehouse. Your mechanical knowledge and attention to detail will ensure smooth order picking, inventory management, and overall warehouse operations. Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers to handle materials and products throughout the warehouse Assist with heavy lifting tasks requiring physical strength and proper technique Conduct accurate order picking using warehouse management systems to fulfill customer orders efficiently Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock and maintaining inventory accuracy Perform routine inspections on equipment to ensure safe operation and report any mechanical issues promptly Assist with general labour tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, and staging goods for shipment or storage Follow safety protocols at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to operational procedures Skills Proven experience in warehouse distribution environments with familiarity in order picking processes Certification or experience operating clamp trucks, forklifts, and other warehouse machinery Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and perform routine maintenance checks Ability to accurately perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks throughout shifts Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) for efficient order processing and inventory control Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to safety and operational efficiency Pay: $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week Work Location: In person
