Position Overview Saint James Catholic School is seeking a resourceful, detail-oriented Food Service Operations & Procurement Specialist to manage our school lunch program serving 500 students. This is a part-time, non-personnel management role focused entirely on culinary logistics, inventory control, budget stewardship, and efficient ordering. The ideal candidate enjoys working independently, takes pride in tracking food costs accurately, and is looking for a flexible, school-year schedule that combines digital inventory management with hands-on, local sourcing. Required Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in food service purchasing, kitchen logistics, retail inventory tracking, or a related administrative role. Technical Skills: Proficiency in digital inventory systems (experience with LunchLink or similar school lunch platforms is a major plus) and basic spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets) for cost tracking. Physical & Travel Requirements: Must possess a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle capable of transporting bulk kitchen supplies. Must be able to comfortably lift up to 50 lbs during loading and unloading at wholesale warehouses.
