Position Summary: This role performs truck driving and warehouse support duties at SECOR Cares, a faith-based non-profit free food market working to alleviate suburban poverty in Douglas, Arapahoe and Elbert Counties of Colorado. The Truck Driver/Warehouse support staff is responsible for loading, unloading, operating, and inspecting trucks to pick up and deliver food and supplies, and for assisting with warehouse duties, in support of SECOR Cares food market and outreach operations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver them as instructed. Load and unload cargo.Drive and operate trucks to locations as instructed. Sorts incoming donated and purchased goods and materials and breaks down pallets as needed. Maneuver pallets in the warehouse as needed. Pre-inspect truck. Report any necessary vehicle maintenance to management. May perform light vehicle maintenance as needed. Assist with vehicle registration updates such as completing emissions testing or recording mileage. Fuel vehicles and submits receipts in accordance with organization policy. Comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes. Complete and verify paperwork for accuracy. Demonstrate professional conduct with vendors, suppliers, SECORCares guests, visitors, volunteers and staff. As directed by the Operations Manager, instructs volunteer transportation assistant (s) on safety procedures and assigns picking up or delivering loads on an as-needed basis. Performs other related duties as assigned. Fully supports the faith-based mission of SECORCares. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid unrestricted Colorado Drivers Class R Driver’s License. Knowledge of traffic laws and DOT regulations. Pallet jack, forklift and reach truck certification(s) preferred. Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day. Clear driving history. Strong listening and verbal communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from management and supervisors. Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions. Ability to pass pre-employment DOT screenings Licenses, Registrations, and Certificates: Valid unrestricted Colorado Class R Drivers License. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day. Job Type: Part-time Pay: $20.00 per hour Benefits: Paid time off Retirement plan Work Location: In person
