Family Meal BoxFAMILY MEAL BOX — NEW DRIVER GUIDE ABOUT FAMILY MEAL Family Meal is a local prepared-meal delivery company serving Durham and the surrounding area. Our customers order freshly prepared meals each week, and drivers deliver their insulated boxes directly to their homes. BEFORE YOUR ROUTE Arrive at our kitchen at your scheduled pickup time. You will usually have approximately 12–18 deliveries. Make sure your phone is fully charged and ready before arriving. Check that you have all the boxes assigned to your route before leaving. LOADING THE BOXES The boxes contain prepared food and must stay upright. Load each box securely with the delivery label facing up. Make sure the boxes cannot tip over or slide around while driving. AT EACH DELIVERY Confirm the house number and address before leaving the order. Place the box in a safe, visible location near the customer’s front door unless the delivery instructions say otherwise. Knock or ring the doorbell after dropping off the food. This lets the customer know it has arrived so they can refrigerate it promptly. Follow any special delivery instructions listed for the customer. RETURNING USED BOXES Customers may leave their previous insulated box, liner, and ice packs on the porch for us to reuse. If a return box is outside, pick it up and place it in your car. Bring collected boxes, liners, and ice packs back to the kitchen after your route. If your route ends at your house, you may return them to the kitchen the following week.
