Food Delivery Driver

Job Overview We’re on the lookout for a reliable and motivated Food Delivery Driver to join our delivery team. In this role, you'll be the friendly face that brings delicious meals directly to our customers’ doors, ensuring prompt and safe delivery every time. You’ll play a key part in making sure our customers have a positive experience from order to delivery. Responsibilities Safely operate various types of vehicles such as vans, box trucks, or personal vehicles to deliver food orders efficiently. Load and unload deliveries using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment like pallet jacks when necessary. Follow designated routes and adhere to traffic regulations to ensure timely deliveries. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers via mobile devices to confirm delivery details and provide excellent service. Handle heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely during loading and unloading processes. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards of your vehicle and delivery equipment throughout your shift. Provide friendly, professional customer service by delivering orders with care and addressing any customer inquiries politely. Requirements Previous experience in delivery driving, warehouse operations, or courier services is preferred. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or van driving is a plus. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles if required. Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and safe lifting practices. Comfortable using mobile devices for navigation, communication, and route updates. Experience with material handling equipment such as pallet jacks or moving tools is advantageous. Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting, moving items, and manual handling tasks involved in loading/unloading deliveries.
