Position Summary Nester Hosiery is searching for Folders who can assist with ensuring socks are prepared for shipment to clients/customers. This role includes tasks like picking, packing, labeling, and ensuring the accurate and complete shipment of socks. They may also be responsible for quality control, inventory management, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Core Role Responsibilities § Receive materials and packaging supplies from material handlers used for packaging socks § Verification of spec information and supplies are accurate § Follow spec folding instructions § Packaging product according to customer specifications § Use of Swift Tack Gun for certain customers § Pack shipping cases according to case quantity amount § Entering dozens packaged into SockInfo8 to receive shipping case label § Properly place case label on shipping box according to customer requirements § Adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work area Education and Experience: § Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED. § At least one year of experience in a similar industry or role Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Excellent attention to detail, time management skills and meeting deadlines Positive attitude & ability to reflect a positive attitude Ability to work in a team & ability to work independently High energy level Strong interpersonal skills Basic computer skills Must possess confidence, good judgment, energy and the right personality to work in a challenging environment Must be able to read and write SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION § This position will require a minimum of twelve (12) weeks’ training. During this period employees will be paid at an hourly rate of $16.00. After completion of the training period, employees will earn production pay. § This position has the option of two shift hours. Employees can choose between starting at 6AM or 7AM. Physical Requirements This work requires the frequent exertion of up to 40 pounds of force; work regularly requires standing, reaching with hands and arms, pushing or pulling, lifting and repetitive motions and occasionally requires walking, using hands to finger, handle or feel, climbing or balancing and stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling.
