Float truck driver

Overview We are seeking a reliable and versatile Float Truck Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating various types of trucks and heavy equipment across multiple locations, providing flexible support where needed. Responsibilities Operate a variety of trucks and heavy equipment safely and efficiently across designated routes and locations Transport freight, materials, and equipment as required, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups Assist with loading and unloading cargo using forklifts or other heavy machinery when necessary Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance Conduct safety checks before each shift, adhering to all company policies and regulatory standards Support warehouse operations by moving freight within facilities using appropriate equipment Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues; coordinate repairs with maintenance teams when needed Maintain accurate logs of trips, cargo details, and vehicle inspections in compliance with company policies Qualifications Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or industrial trucks preferred Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations in transportation Basic automotive repair skills are a plus for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various environments Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and compliance tasks Flexibility to work different shifts as needed; adaptability to changing schedules or routes Prior experience in commercial driving or logistics is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific equipment operation This position requires a dedicated professional committed to safety, reliability, and operational excellence.
