Fleet Mechanic

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fleet Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with various tools, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Fleet Mechanic will play a critical role in supporting operational uptime through timely repairs and preventative maintenance. Responsibilities Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, and fluid checks Operate power tools and specialized equipment safely during repair procedures Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used Assist in the assembly or disassembly of equipment for repair or replacement purposes Support preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan Requirements Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment operation and vehicle maintenance. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, hydraulics, transmissions, air brakes, alignment, suspension, HVAC systems, diesel engines, shocks & struts, tire service, welding, and fabrication techniques Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and other maintenance tools Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with mechanical knowledge Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your mechanical expertise directly impacts operational efficiency.
