Job Responsibilities Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance across the fleet, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and parts replacement Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues across engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and electrical systems — both diesel and small engine Minimize vehicle downtime by efficiently resolving issues and keeping the fleet operating safely and reliably Conduct Virginia state inspections and ensure all vehicles meet local, state, and federal safety and maintenance regulations Accurately log all maintenance and repair activity and maintain inventory records of parts and supplies Oversee parts and tools inventory, monitoring levels and reordering as needed to keep operations running without interruption Create detailed invoices for work performed, process payments, and maintain organized transaction records Compile and present reports on fleet maintenance status to support planning and budgeting What You Bring Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree or certification in automotive technology preferred Experience: 2-5 years of automotive experience Licenses: Virginia State Inspection License required Skills: Strong knowledge of automotive systems, excellent troubleshooting ability, and the physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Attitude: Detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to doing the job right the first time Schedule Onsite, Monday - Thursdays 7AM-5PM and Fridays 7AM-3PM Frequent exposure to dusty conditions and all weather conditions year-round.
