Fleet Maintenance & Parts Assistant (Part-Time) Company: Dick’s Concrete Co., INC. Job Summary Dick’s Concrete Co., INC. is seeking an organized, self-motivated Part-Time Fleet Maintenance & Parts Assistant to work directly alongside our Repair Shop Foreman. In this role, you will manage daily paperwork, handle fleet maintenance records, organize stock, and lead data entry for our parts inventory. This position is based in a dedicated office located inside our main maintenance garage. Candidates must be comfortable working in an active, industrial shop setting. Key Responsibilities Daily Fleet Administration: Organize daily paperwork, process parts invoices, and maintain precise maintenance records for our fleet of concrete mixers, dump trucks, tractors, trailers, and heavy equipment (e.g., front loaders). Inventory Management & System Catch-Up: Label, organize, and log both new and backlogged parts inventory into our fleet management software ( Trimble TMT ). Parts Room & Ordering: Place orders with suppliers, receive and label shipments, organize stock, and retrieve parts for shop technicians as needed. Emergency Parts Pickups: Pick up parts locally using your own vehicle during urgent repair situations ( mileage is compensated quarterly at standard IRS rates ). Foreman Support: Work alongside the Shop Foreman to keep garage administration running efficiently. Qualifications & Requirements Computer Literacy: Basic computer skills required (data entry, general software navigation). Willingness to learn Trimble TMT is required ( full hands-on training provided ). Ideal Background: Experience in a dealership parts department, auto parts store, or industrial stockroom is a strong plus (familiarity with inventory management software translates easily). Physical Requirement: Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver parts weighing up to 40 lbs. Valid Driver’s License: Clean driver’s license and a reliable personal vehicle for occasional emergency parts runs. Shop Environment Fit: Comfortable working in an active mechanic garage and whatever that environment entails.
