Flatbed Driver - home daily

Job Summary Join our team as a Flatbed Driver - home daily! MUST have experience with coils, pallets, and tubing. This is an HOURLY position. In this vital role, you'll operate a 53' flatbed equipped for specialized cargo, namely steel & iron materials (coil & palletized), ensuring timely deliveries across local routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, combined with your dedication to safety and customer service, will keep our operations running smoothly while providing you with consistent home time, as you will be in your own bed every night!! This is your opportunity to come in off the road, get dinner with your family, and have a regular working schedule. Duties Safely operate a newer Mack tractor and a 2021 Reitenour conestoga on local routes, adhering to FMCSA regulations and DOT standards. Load and unload freight efficiently using manual handling techniques while ensuring proper securing of cargo. Operate within 150 air-mile radius of company ~ eliminating utilization of driver logs and maintaining compliance with FMCSA regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any issues encountered during transit. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial truck driving, particularly with flatbed trailers or similar equipment. Valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazardous materials regulations, and hazard communication protocols. Ability to handle manual loading/unloading tasks safely and efficiently; experience with logistics cargo handling is a plus. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and execution. Delivery driver experience involving freight transportation across OTR (Over the Road) routes or local deliveries preferred. Strong commitment to safety protocols and adherence to DOT regulations regarding the transport of dangerous goods or hazardous materials.
