We specialize in creating memorable experiences on the water through sightseeing cruises, private charters, sailing excursions, kayak eco-tours, and a variety of other boating adventures. As our company continues to grow, we're looking for enthusiastic, dependable, and customer-focused individuals who want to become an integral part of our team. Position Overview We are seeking an outgoing, motivated, and safety-minded First Mate to assist with the operation of our commercial charter vessels, with an immediate focus on our flagship tiki boat, The Oasis . The Oasis is a 35-foot catamaran-style commercial charter vessel equipped with twin outboard engines. It operates under U.S. Coast Guard inspection and carries up to 34 passengers, with a licensed Captain and First Mate aboard. This is one of the most fun boats on the water, but our operation is about much more than having a good time. We cater to guests looking for a comfortable, memorable, and professionally operated boating experience. Our charters include sightseeing cruises, sunset excursions, private celebrations, live entertainment, and catered events. Most standard charters are approximately two hours long. Compensation is structured on a per-charter basis, providing flexibility and the opportunity to earn based on your availability and participation. We're not simply looking for someone to serve drinks or clean a boat. We're looking for a team member who takes pride in their work, enjoys interacting with people, understands the importance of safety, and wants to grow alongside our company. This is a year-round opportunity with scheduling that adjusts to seasonal demand. Team members may also have opportunities to cross-train and participate in other areas of our growing watersports and charter operations. Key Responsibilities Marine Operations & Safety Assist the Captain with vessel preparation, pre-departure inspections, and post-charter procedures. Complete required checklists and assist with routine vessel maintenance and safety inspections. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe vessel in accordance with company procedures and applicable U.S. Coast Guard regulations. Assist passengers with safe boarding, disembarking, and movement around the vessel. Maintain awareness of passenger safety and assist the Captain during changing weather and operating conditions. Participate in mandatory crew training, safety drills, and company meetings. Guest Experience & Hospitality Welcome guests aboard and help create a friendly, professional, and memorable experience. Assist passengers throughout the charter, ensuring their comfort, safety, and satisfaction. Provide interesting commentary about local history, wildlife, waterways, and points of interest during sightseeing excursions. Assist with onboard hospitality, provisions, refreshments, and special event arrangements. Support private events, celebrations, catered excursions, and occasional live entertainment.
