Sweet Home Express is hiring Full-Time Delivery Drivers to join our FedEx Ground team in Birmingham! No CDL required and paid training is provided. Delivery experience is a plus, but it isn't required. Experience with Amazon, DoorDash, Uber, Lyft, courier services, landscaping, construction, warehouse work, or other physically active jobs can be a great fit for this position. Pay $600–$1,200+ per week Training Pay: $120/day $500 Sign-On Bonus paid after 90 days of employment Paid Weekly Paid Training Benefits Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Paid Time Off Shoe Program Employer-Paid DOT Physical Employer-Paid Drug Test Employer-Paid Background Check Company-Provided Delivery Vehicle Schedule Full-Time 5–6 days per week Weekend availability required Start time: 7:30 AM Typical completion time: Approximately 5:30 PM Routes are completed when all scheduled deliveries and pickups are finished Terminal Location FedEx Ground – Birmingham 4901 Alton Court Birmingham, AL 35210 What You'll Do As a FedEx Ground Delivery Driver, you'll operate a company-provided vehicle and deliver packages to residential and business customers throughout the local service area. Responsibilities include: Safely operating a company-provided delivery vehicle Delivering and picking up packages Loading, unloading, and organizing packages Using a handheld scanner to manage deliveries and pickups Following assigned delivery routes safely and efficiently Providing professional customer service Performing daily vehicle inspections Following DOT, FedEx, and company safety procedures Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older Valid driver's license At least 1 year of driving experience within the last 3 years Driving experience may include Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Amazon, courier, delivery, or similar driving experience Must pass a DOT Physical Must pass a Drug Test Must pass a Background Check Able to lift and maneuver packages weighing up to 150 lbs. with appropriate equipment Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment Dependable, safety-focused, and able to maintain reliable attendance Preferred Experience Previous experience in any of the following is a plus: FedEx, UPS, Amazon, or other delivery services Courier or route delivery Box trucks, step vans, or commercial vehicles Rideshare or food delivery Landscaping, construction, warehouse, or other physically active work Customer service No CDL Required!
