Step into the shop and keep production moving From the first whistle to shift close, you’re the hub for material movement in our steel vessel fabrication shop. Reporting to the COO, you’ll take on daily machine shop runs and assignments, stage and deliver parts to the floor, and help ensure projects hit deadlines, budgets, and quality expectations. A day in this role You start by reviewing the day’s priorities assigned by the COO and the Fitter/Plant Manager. You coordinate with the VP Operations, Production Analyst, QC Manager, and Laborer Team Lead to understand what needs to be where and when. Forklift or crane at the ready, you stage plates, components, and production parts so welders and fitters never wait. Midday, you sandblast vessels as scheduled, complete receiving checks alongside the Receiving Specialist, and capture accurate paperwork. Before you wrap, you tidy the floor, return tools to their homes, and support the Controller with physical inventory counts of stock materials. What you'll handle Execute machine shop runs and assignments as directed by the COO. Stage, move, and handle materials so production stays on pace. Assist with the build of steel vessels and a variety of production-related tasks. Follow all Plant Safety Policies covered in orientation and safety materials.
