Experienced Steel Hauler - Local - Class A CDL Required

Overview Join our dynamic team as an Experienced Steel Hauler, where your expertise in local Class A CDL driving will power our logistics operations. This is a local position where you will be home nightly, paying an hourly rate. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with specialized freight, namely steel coils, tubing, and palletized material, ensuring timely and safe deliveries across designated local routes. This is a local position, operating within 150 air miles of our Franklin, OH location. You MUST have a valid Class A CDL and verifiable experience pulling a flatbed with steel coils, tubing, pallets, etc. This hourly position provides the opportunity to come in off the road, spend every night in your own bed, and establish routines that focus on your nightly home time. Responsibilities Safely operate a tractor-trailer on local routes. Transport steel while complying with FMCSA and DOT regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on truck and trailer to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before operating the vehicle. Properly secure all materials for safe and quality transport. Skills Proven experience with commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving in a local setting. Knowledge of steel coils transportation securement requirements. Ability to operate an automatic transmission truck confidently while adhering to safety protocols. Strong understanding of truck loading/unloading procedures and logistics cargo handling practices. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT standards for safe commercial driving practices.
