As an essential part of our transportation network, you'll operate a variety of tractor-trailers, including refrigerated, flatbed, and tanker trucks, ensuring timely and secure deliveries while adhering to all federal and state regulations. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers across long-distance OTR routes, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Navigate efficiently using GPS systems and route planning tools to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel efficiency. Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo safety and security during transit. Handle logistics cargo with precision, managing hazardous materials in accordance with hazardous materials regulations when applicable. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, inspections, deliveries, and any incidents following FMCSA regulations. Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips; report maintenance needs promptly to ensure vehicle safety. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or unforeseen delays. Requirements Proven experience as an OTR driver with a strong background in commercial truck driving and delivery driving. Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for hazardous materials (Hazmat), tanker, or other specialized loads preferred. Extensive knowledge of truck loading/unloading procedures, freight handling, and logistics cargo management. Skilled in operating various types of trucks including tractor-trailers with manual transmissions and refrigerated units. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route driving strategies for efficient long-haul trips. Ability to adhere strictly to DOT regulations, Hazardous Materials Regulations, and safety protocols during all phases of transportation. Excellent manual handling skills for load & unload tasks while maintaining safety standards. Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service excellence in every delivery.
