Previous professional experience driving larger trucks is required. You must be comfortable driving a straight truck up to 26 feet, including in downtown Toronto. Abbey Road Entertainment is looking for an experienced Event Logistics Driver & Crew Member to join our team. We produce hundreds of events throughout Toronto and the GTA and are looking for someone who already understands professional deliveries, event logistics, loading docks, tight timelines, and hands-on setup and teardown. This is a driving AND physical event setup position . You will not simply be driving from point A to point B. All shifts start and end at our North York warehouse near Allen Road & Sheppard. What You'll Be Doing Driving Sprinter-style vans and straight trucks up to 26 feet Driving throughout Toronto and the GTA, including downtown Toronto Navigating tight streets, loading docks, venue entrances, underground areas, and challenging parking situations Loading and unloading event equipment Setting up and tearing down equipment at hotels, convention centres, corporate offices, private venues, and other event spaces Safely securing equipment inside vehicles Following detailed delivery, pickup, and event schedules Communicating professionally with clients, venue staff, and our event team Returning equipment to our warehouse and ensuring everything is properly accounted for REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Please do not apply unless you meet the following requirements: Previous professional experience driving larger trucks Comfortable and experienced driving a straight truck up to 26 feet Comfortable navigating downtown Toronto in a larger vehicle Valid Ontario driver's licence appropriate for the vehicles being operated Clean driving record Able to safely lift and carry up to 80 lbs Comfortable performing physical loading, unloading, setup, and teardown Dependable, punctual, organized, and able to follow detailed instructions Professional and personable when interacting with clients and venues Evening and weekend availability Reliable transportation to our North York warehouse (near Allen Road & Sheppard) for early-morning and late-night shifts, when public transit may not be running Previous experience in event rentals, event production, AV, staging, party rentals, equipment rentals, moving, logistics, or a similar hands-on industry is strongly preferred. Pay $25/hour during probation (3 months). After successful completion of probation, pay can increase immediately to up to $30/hour , based on performance, responsibilities, experience, and the vehicles you are qualified to drive. Schedule & Availability This is primarily a part-time, event-based position with no fixed weekly schedule. Hours and shift times vary based on our event calendar. Events take place throughout the week, with a significant amount of our work occurring evenings and weekends . Shifts may include daytime deliveries, evening setups, late-night pickups, and weekend work. We do our very best to schedule shifts at least one week in advance . However, the event industry is unpredictable, and we regularly receive last-minute bookings or changes. There may also be opportunities for additional shifts on shorter notice. We will reach out with available shifts based on our event schedule. Reliable evening and weekend availability is important for this position. This role is best suited to someone looking for flexible, part-time event work.
