The regular schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM. This position is 50 hours/week , and is paid hourly with overtime pay after the first 40 hours. Position Overview: The Heavy Duty Diesel Technician is responsible for performing repair and maintenance work on both the internal company fleet, and external customer vehicles, including both diesel and non-diesel trucks. Essential functions of the role include: Diagnose, rebuild, and repair trucks and trailers (including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs) Perform inspections and preventative maintenance of vehicles, as well as conduct routine service on heavy-duty vehicles Effectively operate machinery, including, but not limited to: forklift, tire changer, overhead crane, various pneumatic tools, alignment machine, welders, and plasma cutter Maintain a safe environment for self and team members Serve in a rotating on-call schedule with all technicians What We're Looking For: 5+ years of diesel technician experience, including working on medium & heavy duty vehicles Ability to work on a variety of vehicles and trailers Advanced electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics experience required Ability to complete a variety of truck repairs, including engines, transmissions, electrical, suspensions, brake repairs, and more Valid Driver’s License required, CDL preferred; willingness to obtain valid Class A CDL and DOT PA Class 7 Inspection License during the course of employment Must have own tools (Shop does provide larger tools to aid in repairs) Drive to work efficiency and safely and provide an exceptional customer service experience Preferred Qualifications: Post-secondary certificate or formal technician training Valid Class A CDL and DOT PA Class 7 Inspection License Welding and hydraulic experience Paint and body work experience Computer literacy and comprehension Schedule & Benefits: Regular schedule is Monday-Friday 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM. This is a 50 hour/week role. Paid hourly, with overtime pay (1.5x) after 40 hours/week.
