Experienced Bilingual Warehouse & Forklift Operator

About the Opportunity Atlantic Overseas Express is seeking a dependable, safety-conscious Warehouse Operator to support daily cargo handling and warehouse operations at our Medley facility. In this hands-on role, you will receive, inspect, store, pick, stage, and load cargo while keeping documentation and warehouse transactions accurate. You will work closely with the Warehouse team, drivers, and the AOE operations team to ensure safe, timely, and reliable service. This position is suited to someone who takes pride in accuracy, follows safety procedures, communicates clearly, and enjoys working as part of a fast-paced logistics operation. What You’ll Do Unload inbound shipments and load containerized cargo safely and efficiently. Receive, inspect, count, and store cargo in accordance with AOE procedures and customer-specific requirements. Pick, prepare, and stage outbound shipments accurately and on schedule. Verify inbound and outbound paperwork with drivers, including cargo counts and supporting records. Enter and maintain accurate warehouse transactions and documentation in Magaya. Communicate with the warehouse team to coordinate daily priorities, workloads, and shipment readiness. Promptly escalate shipping, receiving, cargo discrepancy, and customer-service issues to the appropriate team member. Maintain awareness of safety requirements for personnel, equipment, cargo, and property. Operate material-handling equipment in accordance with training, certification, and applicable safety procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, secure, and orderly warehouse work area. Support cargo security, inventory accuracy, and loss-prevention practices. Follow AOE quality, health, safety, and environmental policies, including applicable OSHA and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) requirements. Assist colleagues as needed to maintain efficient warehouse operations. Perform other duties as assigned. What We’re Looking For Required Qualifications High school diploma, GED, equivalent credential, or technical degree. Current forklift license or certification. Strong attention to detail and ability to verify cargo counts, documents, and system entries. Ability to work safely and follow established warehouse and equipment procedures. Good organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills. Professional communication and a customer-service-oriented approach. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, hands-on warehouse environment. Working proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook. Ability to perform the essential physical functions of warehouse receiving, storage, picking, staging, and shipping, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work on-site at AOE’s Medley warehouse. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in warehousing, distribution, logistics, or freight forwarding. Experience with Magaya or a comparable warehouse management system. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills. Compensation and Benefits Hourly pay of $17–$24, depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
