Experienced Automotive and Light-Duty Diesel Technician 1023 Diesel & Fleet, Palmer, Alaska Full-time, 4-day workweek (Tuesday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM) Come help play a role in growing a local shop, and help keep Valley trucks on the road. 1023 Diesel & Fleet is hiring an experienced technician at our Palmer shop on Steel Loop. If you have spent years in a bay and started to feel like a stall number, or like there is no real path forward, this is a shop where your ideas help decide how we work. You will help keep Valley neighbors' gas and diesel pickups, work trucks, and everyday vehicles on the road. That is a real service to this community, and a real role in growing a local business. You will diagnose and repair vehicles, write clear inspection notes that help the advisor explain what we found and what comes next, and work with the service team before any work starts. We use modern diagnostic equipment and we pay for ongoing training. There is room to grow with the shop and take on more responsibilities and leadership roles. We are looking for someone with three or more years in a busy shop, strong diagnostics (electrical, brakes, suspension, engines), and a clean, valid driver's license. ASE certification is a plus, or a willingness to get it in the first year. Living in the Mat-Su Valley is a plus. Pay is a hybrid system, hourly with a billed hour bonus. Productive technicians are paid very well.
