Main responsibilities will include day to day design of our Weyerhaeuser Trus Joist products to professional lumberyards, home centers, and “big box” stores. This will include taking inbound phone calls/emails on customer questions and inquiries on floor, wall and roof systems. Why : Excellent salaried starting pay at $60,000/yr or more based on experience. Generous profit sharing year-end bonus potential. Work week hours are Monday through Fridays 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. We buy and warehouse material from all over the world, and deliver to our customers within a 200-mile radius. We provide the core materials that go into single-family, multi-family, and commercial construction. You can see the result of your work on a daily basis as we have a hand in most new construction in the area. We have eight distribution centers throughout the Midwest covering 15 states. Our Columbus team is roughly 30 employees large with 8 sales reps, 7 drivers, 9 yard personnel as well as other administration and management team members. We have roughly 600 customers to whom we ship, bill, and invoice over 100 orders a day. We need an organized, skilled sales professional who is customer service oriented, and enjoys the selling and buying processes. Main responsibilities include: Utilizing our Weyerhaeuser Javelin Software to design residential and light commercial projects for new and existing professional customers. Apply the features and benefits of the four core technologies of our premium Weyerhaeuser Trus Joist line. Build and strengthen customer relationships. Listening, asking, and answering questions in an effort to close the sale an earn a PO. What we are looking for: Our ideal candidate would be self-motivated, quick learning with the ability to work independently alongside a team of sales professionals in an office environment. We are looking for someone with a college degree, and/or similar work experience. Knowledge of building products is beneficial. Competencies in Microsoft Office, and other PC applications is a plus. Previous design experience is a plus.
