Electronics Buyer/Procurement Specialist

Sparcz Engineering is a growing custom electronics design and manufacturing company specializing in automated test equipment, circuit boards, cables and wire harnesses, custom chassis, box builds, and rack systems. We are seeking an experienced Electronics Buyer to source and purchase electronic components, electrical hardware, fabricated parts, and other materials used in our customer projects. Responsibilities Purchase electronic components, electrical hardware, fabricated parts, and production materials. Source materials from BOMs, drawings, and manufacturer part numbers. Request and evaluate supplier quotes for price, lead time, availability, and delivery. Create and manage purchase orders in our ERP system. Monitor open orders and expedite materials as needed. Source hard-to-find, obsolete, and long-lead-time components. Work with Engineering to identify alternate components when necessary. Negotiate supplier pricing and delivery. Develop and maintain supplier relationships. Resolve pricing, delivery, quality, and documentation issues. Help identify cost-saving and inventory-reduction opportunities. Qualifications 3+ years of purchasing experience in electronics or manufacturing preferred. Experience purchasing electronic components strongly preferred. Ability to read and understand Bills of Material (BOMs), part numbers, and basic engineering documentation. Experience with ERP/MRP purchasing systems. Strong sourcing, negotiation, and organizational skills. Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Experience with Global Shop Solutions is a plus. Aerospace, defense, or military purchasing experience is a plus. What We're Looking For We need a hands-on buyer who can take ownership of material requirements, work closely with Engineering and Production, solve supply-chain problems, and keep materials moving in a fast-paced custom manufacturing environment.
