The Controller Bureau within Finance Department plays a critical role in supporting the City’s operations through reliable, efficient, and accountable financial and administrative services. The Mail Operations Clerk Supervisor position will be an integral part of these efforts—overseeing mail, shipping, delivery, and inventory operations that support departments and employees across the City. This position offers an opportunity to lead a team, coordinate essential services, and help ensure mail operations are accurate, timely, and responsive to the needs of City departments. What you will typically be responsible for: Coordinating daily incoming and outgoing mail, packages, shipments, and interoffice mail operations. Monitoring postage usage and expenses, maintaining postage meter funds, and preparing related records and reports. Operating and maintaining postage meters, scales, and other mail processing and business equipment. Maintaining inventory of mailroom supplies and ordering materials as needed. Coordinating courier and delivery services for City departments and operating a City vehicle for mail and package pickup and delivery. Developing, updating, and implementing administrative procedures to improve mail operations and service delivery. Ensuring mail operations comply with applicable USPS requirements, City procedures, and safe work practices.
