Dump Truck Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will operate heavy-duty dump trucks to transport and deliver materials efficiently across various job sites. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and ability to handle diverse cargo will ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries. Duties Safely operate dump trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, refrigerated trailers, and other specialized vehicles to transport construction materials, hazardous goods, or freight across short and long-distance routes. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques or truck-mounted equipment, ensuring proper securing of loads in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems, adhering to designated over-the-road (OTR) driving routes and delivery schedules. Comply with all DOT (Department of Transportation), Hazmat (hazardous materials), and hazardous goods regulations during transportation and handling of dangerous goods. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, inspections, and delivery documentation in accordance with FMCSA and DOT regulations. Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips; report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly. Collaborate with dispatchers and logistics teams to coordinate deliveries, optimize routes, and ensure timely completion of assignments. Skills Proven experience operating heavy-duty trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated trailers in a commercial driving environment. Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance, hazardous materials handling, and safety procedures related to truck driving. Skilled in route planning using GPS navigation systems for efficient delivery routes across diverse terrains. Ability to load & unload cargo safely using manual handling techniques or truck-mounted equipment; experience with freight logistics cargo handling preferred. Familiarity with over-the-road (OTR) driving routes and delivery driving best practices for timely service delivery. Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for Hazmat or tanker operations is highly desirable. Excellent driving record demonstrating safe operation of tractor-trailers under various conditions; knowledge of manual transmission is a plus.
