Dump Truck Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport materials to various job sites. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficient route driving, and proper load management. Candidates with experience in truck driving, commercial driving, and handling freight are encouraged to apply. Duties Operate dump trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles such as roll-off trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers with manual transmission. Load and unload freight efficiently while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Transport materials across designated routes, adhering to schedules and traffic laws. Perform routine inspections of trucks before and after trips, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and brake systems. Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and cargo details. Assist with loading/unloading using forklifts or other equipment when necessary. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations related to commercial driving and transportation of goods. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery schedules or route changes. Skills Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and delivery driver roles. Ability to operate vehicles with manual transmission. Experience handling specialized trailers such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or freight trucks is preferred. Knowledge of load securement techniques for various types of freight. Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus. Strong understanding of safety procedures related to dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and freight transport. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record. Ability to manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines. Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and dispatchers.
