Dump Truck Dispatcher

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Dump Truck Dispatcher to coordinate and manage the daily operations of dump truck transportation. The successful candidate will be responsible for scheduling vehicle dispatches, maintaining effective communication with drivers and clients, and ensuring compliance with DOT regulations. This role requires excellent organizational skills, proficiency in transportation management systems, and strong customer service abilities to facilitate smooth road transportation operations. Duties Coordinate and dispatch dump trucks efficiently to meet project deadlines and client needs. Utilize vehicle dispatch software and transportation management systems to schedule routes, track vehicle locations, and update job statuses. Communicate effectively via phone calls and internal communication channels with drivers, clients, and team members to relay instructions, updates, and resolve issues promptly. Manage phone call inquiries related to dispatch operations, ensuring timely responses and accurate information dissemination. Ensure all transportation activities comply with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards. Maintain organized records of dispatch schedules, driver logs, and related documentation using Microsoft Office tools. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries professionally and ensuring their transportation needs are met efficiently. Collaborate with internal teams to optimize routing, improve operational workflows, and enhance overall transportation efficiency. Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation and communication purposes. Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries professionally. Excellent phone communication skills for managing calls with drivers, clients, and team members. Knowledge of road transportation operations and dispatching procedures. Experience with vehicle dispatch software and transportation management systems. Familiarity with DOT regulations governing commercial vehicle operations. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple schedules, routes, and documentation simultaneously. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
