Driver/ Yard Worker

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Driver/Yard Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating our flatbed truck to deliver goods efficiently and on time. Additionally, you will assist with yard operations, including material handling, loading and unloading shipments, and maintaining a clean and organized yard environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine driving expertise with hands-on warehouse and yard duties, ensuring smooth logistical operations while providing excellent customer service. Duties Safely operate flatbed truck for delivery routes, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load and unload materials using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Assist with warehouse operations, including inventory management, organizing supplies, and maintaining safety protocols during manual lifting and moving tasks. Deliver goods directly to customers’ locations while providing professional customer service and ensuring a positive experience. Maintain accurate delivery logs using mobile devices, update route information, and communicate effectively with dispatch teams. Support yard activities by moving equipment, organizing storage areas, and ensuring the yard remains safe and clutter-free. Follow safe lifting practices during heavy lifting tasks to prevent injuries and ensure workplace safety. Requirements Proven experience in delivery of driving or courier services, preferably with warehouse or logistics environments. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating commercial trucks or box trucks is highly desirable. Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles confidently; familiarity with manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks is a plus. Strong knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safe driving practices for route driving. Physical ability to lift heavy objects regularly while adhering to safe lifting practices; experience with heavy lifting in warehouse settings is preferred. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently using mobile devices or GPS systems. Good communication skills for interacting with customers and team members professionally. Warehouse experience including material handling equipment operation, moving supplies, and maintaining warehouse safety standards is advantageous.
