John Doe Squad Kennels LLC is seeking motivated individuals who are reliable, hardworking, and ready to work in a fast-paced transportation environment. This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity, not a W-2 employee position. The Driver Assistant will help support local freight deliveries, loading and unloading cargo, route assistance, and delivery operations throughout Connecticut and surrounding areas. Responsibilities Assist driver with daily local delivery routes Load and unload freight safely and efficiently Help organize and secure cargo during transport Assist with liftgate deliveries when needed Maintain professionalism with customers and contractors Help complete delivery confirmations and paperwork Follow safety procedures at all delivery locations Communicate effectively throughout the route Deliveries include cabinets, doors and windows. May include second floor delivery. Requirements Must be dependable and punctual Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly Comfortable working in all weather conditions Reliable transportation to and from reporting location Strong communication and teamwork skills Prior moving, warehouse, delivery, or helper experience preferred but not required Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance Schedule & Flexibility Consistent local daytime routes Monday–Friday opportunities available Home daily Additional opportunities may become available based on workload Contractor Details 1099 Independent Contractor position Weekly settlements/pay Contractors are responsible for their own taxes Opportunity for long-term consistent work Experience Delivery helper, warehouse, moving, or logistics experience preferred Language English (Required) Pay: $500.00 - $750.00 per week Benefits: On-the-job training Paid training Safety equipment provided Tools provided Experience: Load & unload: 1 year (Preferred) Ability to Commute: South Windsor, CT 06074 (Required) Work Location: On the road
