Duties Safely operate a variety of trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes. Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency. Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly according to logistics cargo handling standards. Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials. Deliver freight accurately to designated locations, maintaining professionalism and excellent customer service throughout each delivery. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with safety standards. Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in accordance with regulatory requirements. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across various terrains. Proficiency in operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and tractor-trailers with manual transmissions. Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and DOT safety standards. Skilled in GPS navigation for efficient route planning and real-time adjustments. Ability to load & unload freight safely using proper manual handling techniques; experience with truck loading and unloading is preferred. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with over-the-road (OTR) routes highly desirable. Familiarity with logistics cargo handling procedures for different types of freight including dangerous goods and hazardous materials. Embark on a career that keeps you moving!
