We are hiring CDL-A drivers to haul palletized groceries from the Sumner/Tacoma, WA, distribution center to customers throughout WA and OR. Drivers operate dry van, reefer, and pup trailers, with about 40% of loads requiring doubles. This is a steady local position with strong activity-based pay, company-paid doubles endorsement, and daily home time. Pay and earnings $0.54 - $0.58 per mile Average weekly pay: $1,550 - $1,650 Achieved annualized earnings: about $92,000 $30 per no-touch stop $45 per driver-assist stop $25 per doubles load Company reimburses the cost of the doubles endorsement Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Paid time off beginning on day one Life insurance options Mental health and disability benefits Schedule and home time Local grocery routes Home daily Operates from the Sumner/Tacoma, WA, distribution center Delivers throughout WA and OR Drivers must leave the truck at the DC during time off Slip seat equipment required What you’ll haul Palletized grocery freight Dry van, reefer, and pup trailers Pup trailer sizes: 27 foot, 31 foot, and 34 foot Approximately 40% of loads are doubles 90% of stops require driver assist 10% of stops are live unload by the customer What you’ll do Deliver palletized groceries to customers in WA and OR Use an electric pallet jack to tailgate freight to the end of the trailer for customer unload Assist with forklift unloading when required Chain tires as weather dictates Equipment Automatic International daycab Dry van, reefer, and pup trailers Slip seat equipment Trucks remain at the DC during time off What we need Valid Class A CDL Minimum 3 - 6 months of trucking experience Doubles endorsement within 60–90 days of hire; company reimbursement provided Willing and able to chain as weather dictates Comfortable with driver-assist work and electric pallet jack operation Willing to operate slip seat equipment
