Dolcella – Factory Store Sales & Inventory Associate Position: Factory Store Sales & Inventory Associate Company: Dolcella – Premium Chocolates & Confections Work Location: Dolcella Factory Store Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Job Description As a Dolcella Factory Store Sales & Inventory Associate , you will play an important role in delivering an exceptional shopping experience while maintaining the highest standards of product presentation, inventory accuracy, freshness, and store operations. Our factory store features a variety of premium chocolates, candies, confectionery products, seasonal collections, and gift items. We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive team member who takes ownership of daily store operations, ensures products are properly stocked and organized, monitors expiration dates, and supports accurate inventory management and timely product replenishment. Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Sales Welcome customers warmly and provide friendly, professional service. Assist customers with product selections, recommendations, and gift purchases. Maintain strong product knowledge, including ingredients, flavors, allergens, and seasonal offerings. Process transactions accurately using the POS system. Support promotional activities, upselling, and seasonal sales initiatives. Inventory Management & Stock Control Monitor daily inventory levels and maintain accurate stock records. Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies. Identify low-stock products and prepare or place replenishment orders according to company procedures. Monitor product movement, sales trends, and inventory turnover to support efficient ordering. Receive incoming deliveries, verify quantities and product conditions, and report discrepancies. Organize backroom inventory and maintain proper storage conditions. Record damaged, expired, or unsellable products and report inventory losses. Expiration Date & Product Freshness Control Regularly inspect expiration dates and best-by dates on all products. Apply FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expired, First Out) inventory rotation principles. Ensure older products are appropriately prioritized for sale while maintaining product quality. Immediately identify and remove expired, damaged, or noncompliant products from sale. Maintain accurate records of products approaching their expiration dates. Notify management of short-dated inventory and recommend appropriate actions in accordance with company policies. Merchandising & Store Presentation Maintain clean, organized, fully stocked, and visually appealing retail shelves. Follow Dolcella's merchandising guidelines, shelf layouts, product placement standards, and visual presentation requirements. Ensure all products are properly labeled and accurately priced. Replenish shelves throughout the day and prevent unnecessary out-of-stock situations. Maintain attractive seasonal displays, gift collections, and promotional presentations. Ensure the sales floor and stockroom consistently meet company standards. Ordering & Product Replenishment Review inventory levels regularly to identify upcoming replenishment needs. Prepare and submit product orders based on stock levels, sales patterns, and anticipated customer demand. Communicate with the production, warehouse, or management teams regarding product availability and upcoming deliveries. Follow up on outstanding orders and report shortages or delivery discrepancies. Help minimize overstocking, product waste, and stockouts. Food Safety, Hygiene & Quality Standards Follow all applicable food safety, sanitation, and workplace hygiene requirements. Maintain proper storage and handling conditions for chocolates and confectionery products. Monitor product packaging, freshness, and overall quality.
