Distribution & Traffic Document Control Specialist
QuantimetrixFLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt SUMMARY The D&T Doc Control Specialist will perform duties such as shipping, receiving, order invoicing, freight reconciliation, shipping material procurement, and maintaining electronic shipping document files. Will cross-train and participate in other areas of the department and business as needed, reporting to the SR. D&T Manager. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Process all domestic orders for daily invoicing before the end-of-day deadline. Approve courier invoices weekly to meet the end-of-week payment deadline. Update department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in coordination with the department Manager. Maintain and update accurate department training records to ensure continuous audit readiness. Manage electronic documentation within the ERP system. Conduct weekly, monthly, and year-end cycle counts with the department Manager and Supervisor Investigate shipment issues and report findings regarding customer complaints. File courier claims for damaged or lost shipments. Support the department Manager and Supervisor in meeting daily department productivity goals. Print and prepare sales orders for the shipping team daily. Pick finished goods from the inventory area to fill sales orders. Assemble, fill, tie, and pack materials into shipping cartons. Count, label, store, and stage released finished goods inventory. Train new or temporary employees on job duties. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station. Work occasional overtime as required by business needs. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management. Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive work environment. Adhere to all company quality policies, compliance standards, and core mission statement EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS 3+ years of experience in shipping and receiving Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel Excellent organizational and time management skills Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment Multitasking ability Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
