About the Role Mercury Paper is seeking an experienced Distribution Supervisor to lead warehouse and finished goods operations while supporting the Distribution Manager. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for supervising warehouse personnel, maintaining inventory accuracy, overseeing shipping and receiving activities, and ensuring safe, efficient distribution operations. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, can effectively manage inventory and logistics processes, and is willing to lead by example by operating forklifts and warehouse equipment as needed. What You'll Do Lead and supervise Finished Goods Handlers and warehouse team members on assigned shifts. Ensure accurate receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipment of finished goods. Coordinate daily warehouse activities, including loading, unloading, staging, and shipping operations. Support employee scheduling, timekeeping, training, coaching, and performance management. Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts, physical inventories, and transaction auditing. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and operational issues. Ensure shipments are accurate, complete, and damage-free before leaving the facility. Work closely with Production, Shipping & Receiving, Quality, Logistics, and Plant Leadership teams. Promote and maintain a safe work environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Perform and monitor equipment inspections, preventative maintenance checks, and housekeeping activities. Assist in month-end inventory activities and reporting. Serve as a key point of contact for warehouse-related concerns and provide leadership during off-shift operations. What We're Looking For Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent warehouse and distribution experience will be considered. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment. Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred. Required Skills Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, shipping, and receiving processes. Experience with warehouse management systems, RF scanners, SAP, Microsoft Outlook, and ADP. Proven ability to lead teams, resolve conflicts, and drive employee engagement. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions. Experience operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment preferred. Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and OSHA compliance standards. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while managing multiple priorities. Work Environment Warehouse and distribution center environment with regular use of office technology and warehouse equipment. Must wear required PPE and follow all company safety guidelines. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. safely. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and sit throughout the workday.
