Distribution Lead III

About the Role We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and safety-focused Distribution Lead to join our Houston warehouse and distribution team. The Distribution Lead is a hands-on role responsible for helping coordinate daily warehouse operations, supporting team members, and ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient fulfillment, shipping, receiving, and inventory activities. The ideal candidate has strong warehouse experience, proven leadership skills, and extensive experience operating multiple types of powered industrial equipment, including: Sit-down forklifts Stand-up forklifts Reach trucks Articulated/narrow-aisle equipment such as Bendi, Flexi, Combilift, or Aisle-Master Essential Duties & Responsibilities Help lead and coordinate daily warehouse activities and priorities. Provide direction, coaching, and support to warehouse associates. Lead by example in safety, productivity, accuracy, and professionalism. Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment. Pick, pack, stage, palletize, and prepare customer orders for shipment. Load and unload freight and put away received merchandise. Move, replenish, retrieve, and stage inventory throughout the facility. Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with cycle counts. Monitor workflow and help resolve operational issues or bottlenecks. Train and coach associates on safe equipment operation and warehouse procedures. Perform equipment inspections and report safety or maintenance concerns. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow OSHA, company safety, and warehouse operating procedures. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment experience. 5+ years of forklift operating experience. Previous warehouse lead, trainer, or supervisory experience preferred. Experience operating multiple types of forklifts and powered industrial equipment. Experience with Bendi, Flexi, Combilift, Aisle-Master, or similar equipment preferred. Strong knowledge of warehouse safety and forklift operating practices. Shipping, receiving, inventory control, and cycle-counting experience. Experience with WMS, RF scanners, or inventory systems. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume distribution environment.
