DISTRIBUTION CLERK - 3rd shift - $18.02 - $17.40

Valdese Weavers is a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) company and has been in business for over 100 years. As one of the largest woven textile mills in the world, Valdese Weavers designs and manufactures residential and contract-grade fabrics for furniture manufacturers, fabric distributors, and large retailers. 2nd and 3rd shift do receive a shift premium of $1.00. We offer a $50 attendance bonus for every two weeks in which you miss no time, not including our shutdown periods. This bonus would provide an extra $0.62 to your hourly rate. Tools and Equipment Used: Filling buggy/pin truck, pallet jack , loom tickets Job Summary: Take filled orders in buggies/pin trucks or boxes/bins to correct loom location. Essential Functions: Perform the following duties according to IS0 9001 work instructions and standards: View computer monitor for loom rushes. Prioritize orders when taking them out to Weaveroom. Label all buggies/pin trucks as specified in ISO Work Instructions. Take filled loom orders to their designated locations. Place buggies/pin trucks at the correct loom, in the correct position per 5S standard. Punch codes at looms to show orders have arrived as per ISO work instruction. Make sure all empty/completed return buggies/pin trucks are taken back to the sorting area. Work scheduled overtime Perform other duties as assigned. Maintain personal work habits, which meet the demands and stresses of the job. Meet deadlines and production quotas. Safety: Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers. Report all job related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately. Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards. Ear protection required in Weave Room at all times and safety belt/harness required when using motorized equipment. Qualifications: Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others. Basic reading, writing, and math skills Must be able to discern colors and pass a color blindness test. Must have a license to operate PIT equipment. (i.e. cherry picker, etc.) *Training done in-house.
