Automotive Service Dispatcher If you know automotive service and you're the kind of person who can keep a busy shop organized, productive, and moving forward, we want to talk to you. Sunset Automotive Group, one of Southwest Florida's largest automotive groups with 10 franchises at 11 locations in Sarasota and Manatee counties, is looking for an experienced Service Dispatcher to join our team at Sunset Chevrolet-Buick-GMC . The Service Dispatcher plays a key role in the success of our service department. You'll coordinate work throughout the shop, match repair orders with the right technicians, monitor workflow and productivity, and make adjustments throughout the day to keep work moving efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with automotive service experience who is organized, decisive, a strong communicator, and comfortable managing a lot of moving parts. Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM schedule. What You'll Do As our Service Dispatcher, you'll help keep the shop running smoothly and efficiently by: Dispatching repair orders to technicians based on skill level, workload, and shop priorities Monitoring workflow and technician productivity throughout the day Adjusting assignments as priorities, workloads, and customer needs change Identifying potential productivity or workflow issues before they become problems Communicating professionally with technicians, service advisors, customers, and management Helping ensure the service department meets productivity and efficiency goals Overseeing shop cleanliness and safety Monitoring the condition and availability of required tools and equipment Attending quarterly safety meetings Completing required manufacturer and company training Assisting with other duties necessary to support an efficient, successful service department What We're Looking For This position requires someone who understands automotive service and can confidently manage a fast-moving environment. The ideal candidate will have: Basic automotive repair and service knowledge Prior automotive service experience; experience as a technician, service advisor, dispatcher, shop foreman, or similar position is highly desirable Excellent organizational and time-management skills The ability to prioritize and manage multiple demands at the same time Strong communication and interpersonal skills The confidence to make decisions and adjust priorities as shop conditions change Computer proficiency Reynolds & Reynolds experience is a plus A professional, team-oriented attitude Why Sunset Automotive Group?
