Position Overview: In this role, you’ll be responsible for coordinating the movement of our fleet across multiple cities. The ideal candidate has a strong dispatching background, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience with the intermodal trucking industry in Kansas City. Duties Manage fleet operations by scheduling and dispatching vehicles efficiently. Manage and coordinate the movement of intermodal containers in compliance with company guidelines and customer expectations. Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and monitor delivery schedules. Communicate effectively with drivers and clients to provide updates on delivery status. Analyze logistics data to optimize routes and improve overall efficiency. Maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving activities. Employ GPS technology to monitor vehicle locations and ensure timely arrivals. Handle phone systems with professionalism, addressing inquiries from clients and drivers promptly. Collaborate with team members to resolve any issues that may arise during transportation processes. Work with drivers, warehouses, and customers to optimize scheduling and ensure on-time performance. Resolve any operational issues promptly to minimize delays and optimize efficiency. Track shipments and manage driver dispatch across multiple cities with a primary focus on the Dallas market. Provide clear communication to drivers, customers, and the management team regarding any scheduling changes or updates. Requirements 2+ years of intermodal dispatching experience. Proven experience in dispatching or logistics management Geographical knowledge and work experience in Kansas City Familiarity with fleet management practices and transportation planning. Strong phone etiquette and communication skills for effective interaction with various stakeholders. Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions quickly. Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes Proficiency in using GPS systems and other relevant technology. Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under pressure. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Must be willing to travel as requested by the Company for training and other needs; percentage of travel time expected to be less than 25% each year.
