Dispatcher

Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Fleet Dispatcher to join our dynamic logistics team. This position coordinates daily courier operations, manages delivery schedules, supports drivers, and provides basic employee supervision. The ideal candidate has strong communication, multitasking, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities Schedule, route, and dispatch courier drivers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of packages Monitor and track delivery progress, addressing any delays or issues promptly to minimize disruptions Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details, provide updates and address inquiries or concerns Utilize dispatching software and tools to plan routes and optimize driver assignments Maintain accurate records of driver activities, delivery times and completed assignments Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure packages and prepared and ready for dispatch Monitor driver performance and provide feedback to ensure adherences to company standards and policies Manage emergency situations, such as vehicle breakdowns or weather disruptions, by reallocating resources Prepare and analyze reports on delivery performance, efficiency and customer satisfaction Hard worker with outstanding work ethic and reliable Job Requirements Proven experience in road transportation operations or logistics coordination within a supply chain environment. Familiarity with transportation management systems such as OPS, Elite, CXT or similar vehicle dispatch software. Experience working with GPS technology and route optimization tools to enhance dispatch efficiency. Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to handling operational challenges Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced setting. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for reporting and documentation purposes. Effective communication skills for phone etiquette, internal communication with team members, and customer service interactions. Ability to analyze transportation data for operational improvements while maintaining attention to detail in data entry tasks. Ability to lift 5 to 50 pounds of merchandise Experience managing multi-line phone systems and handling high call volumes efficiently.
