Overview Join our transportation team as a Dispatcher, where you'll be the vital link ensuring seamless coordination of road transportation operations. Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule vehicle dispatches using transportation management systems and vehicle dispatch software to ensure timely deliveries. Communicate clearly and professionally via multi-line phone systems and internal communication channels with drivers, clients, and team members. Monitor GPS to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and adjust plans as needed for efficiency. Manage freight documentation, data entry, and record-keeping accurately within logistics and transportation management platforms such as Oracle Transportation Management. Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations by maintaining proper documentation and adhering to safety standards during dispatching activities. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining positive relationships with clients and drivers. Collaborate with supply chain teams to support transportation planning, fleet management, and logistics operations for smooth road transportation workflows. Overnight shift flexibility Front desk coverage as needed Ability to learn other areas in the company Experience Proven experience in dispatching within a logistics or transportation environment, preferably involving road transportation operations. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and the ability to manage multi-line phone systems effectively. Knowledge of DOT regulations, freight handling procedures, and logistics best practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for data entry, reporting, and analysis tasks, specifically excel. Demonstrated analysis skills for route optimization, problem-solving, and decision-making in dispatch scenarios.
