In this Dispatcher role, you will play a key part in maintaining our customer expectations to ensure customer orders are delivered at the right time, to the right location. You will lead and develop a team of professional drivers and dispatchers. You will be responsible for engaging your team during their shifts to maintain the highest levels of safety , quality, attendance, and performance. To achieve this, managers are expected to provide their team with the tools needed for success while driving improvements through data-driven decisions and analytical problem-solving. Key Responsibilities: Support, mentor, and motivate your team Maintain and grow onsite relationship with station leadership Manage SAFETY , quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises Collaborate timely with all executive support teams including - Safety, Human Resources, Accounting, and IT to develop plans to exceed business objectives and resolve time-sensitive issues Lift up to 75 pounds, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, as well as continuously climb and descend stairs Work in an environment where the noise level varies and is subject to variable temperatures and weather (delivery stations may include outside loading) Work a flexible non-traditional schedule (days, nights, weekends) onsite, and be available to communicate as needed through email, text, or phone while routes are in operation Required Qualifications: SAFETY 1st mentality – protect the employee and the company assets Demonstrated problem solving skills and analytical skills Excellent customer service skills, communication skills and interpersonal skills Ability to read, write and speak English Ability to analyze and interpret general business data, technical procedures, and safety regulations Ability to problem solve and properly manage in situations where limited standardization exists Demonstrated knowledge of spreadsheet software (Excel) and word processing software, and the ability to learn new and customized technology, proprietary software and other programs. Strong computer skills required.
