Role Description The Dispatcher role at Angelo’s Towing is a full-time, on-site position based in San Diego, CA. The Dispatcher coordinates daily towing and roadside assistance operations, including receiving service requests, prioritizing calls, and assigning jobs to drivers and tow trucks. This role requires monitoring driver locations, updating schedules, and maintaining clear communication with field staff to ensure timely and safe service delivery. The Dispatcher responds to phone calls and digital inquiries, gathers accurate information from customers, and communicates status updates and estimated arrival times. Additional responsibilities include documenting service details, using dispatch software or systems, collaborating with the customer service team, and assisting with basic administrative tasks as needed. Qualifications Ability to manage dispatch operations, including scheduling, routing, and coordinating multiple towing and roadside assistance calls. Strong communication skills for interacting with drivers, customers, and team members by phone and digital channels. Proficiency with computers and dispatch or GPS software, and comfort learning new systems and tools. Solid problem-solving skills and sound judgment when handling urgent calls, traffic conditions, and changing priorities. Attention to detail for accurate data entry, call documentation, and record-keeping. Customer service mindset with the ability to remain calm, professional, and courteous in stressful situations. Ability to work onsite in San Diego, CA, with flexibility for shifts that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Prior experience in dispatch, transportation, towing, or related fields is preferred but not required. High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in logistics, transportation, or customer service is a plus. Familiarity with the San Diego area and major routes is beneficial.
