Dispatcher (811 underground fiber optics ticketing)

Job Summary As a Dispatcher supporting 811 underground fiber ticketing, you’ll coordinate ticket intake, review, and routing so field teams can respond to underground utility work requests with clear, timely information. You’ll manage phone calls, enter accurate data, and communicate with customers and internal teams. Your impact: Accurate ticket coordination helps field crews plan work safely and helps customers receive clear updates. Duties Receive and manage 811 requests through multi-line phone systems; apply professional phone etiquette and customer service. Enter, review, and update ticket details, using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Global Positioning System (GPS) information, and mapping tools as available. Dispatch and coordinate field resources; support transportation planning, road transportation operations, fleet management, and logistics. Maintain clear internal communication and records; use Microsoft Office and relevant transportation management systems or vehicle dispatch software. Support shipping and receiving or freight coordination as needed, following applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and established procedures. Qualifications Strong communication, organizational, analysis, typing, data entry, phone communication, and phone call management skills. Experience in dispatching, transportation management, supply chain, logistics, or related operations is helpful. Familiarity with transportation management systems, vehicle dispatch software, or third-party logistics (3PL) operations is preferred. Exposure to Oracle Transportation Management, SyteLine, or AS400 is a plus; equivalent systems experience is welcome.
