Job Title : Dispatcher Company: Brown Logistics Location: Grimes, IA (in person) Schedule: Dayshift Compensation: Competitive (based on experience) Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of freight and managing fleet operations. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with logistics software and transportation planning is essential for success in this role. Responsibilities: Assist with daily dispatch operations, ensuring timely delivery of freight and efficient routing of vehicles. Communicate effectively with drivers and clients to provide updates and resolve issues Perform data entry tasks related to shipment management, fleet management, and inventory control Collaborate with 3PL providers to ensure seamless logistics operations Monitor fleet performance and address any operational challenges that arise during transit Collaborate with team members to optimize routes and improve overall efficiency with the supply chain. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies throughout the dispatch process. Experience: 1 Year of Dispatching (preferred) Experience in logistics or dispatching, with a solid understanding of fleet management principles is a plus, but not mandatory. Familiarity with freight operations and transportation management systems Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) to effectively interact with drivers and clients Proficient in data entry with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in records. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high levels of organization.
