Dispatcher

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Dispatcher to join our transportation operations team. In this vital role, you will coordinate the movement of freight and vehicles, ensuring timely and efficient delivery while maintaining compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. Location: Syracuse, NY Pay: $42,000+ annual base salary depending on experience. Coordinate and schedule vehicle dispatches using transportation management systems and vehicle dispatch software to optimize routes and delivery times Communicate effectively via phone and other platforms to relay instructions, updates, and resolve issues promptly Monitor GPS and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) data to track vehicle locations, ensure route adherence, and adjust plans as needed for efficiency Manage shipping & receiving documentation, data entry, and freight tracking to maintain accurate records in compliance with DOT regulations Collaborate with drivers, sales, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and resolve logistical challenges swiftly Ensure adherence to road transportation operations standards, safety protocols, and fleet management policies while providing excellent customer service through professional phone etiquette Experience 1-2 years of experience is highly preferred Proven experience in dispatching within logistics or transportation planning environments Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), vehicle dispatch software, and fleet management tools. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting Excellent communication skills for effective phone call management, internal communication, and customer service interactions Knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations related to freight shipping & receiving and road transportation operations Ability to work in a fast paste environment Fluency in Spanish and or Ukranian is preferred but not required Join our team as a Dispatcher where you will contribute to the smooth operation of our logistics processes while enhancing your skills in a dynamic work environment.
