Dispatcher

Job Description This is a full-time, on-site Dispatcher position based in Hayward, CA. The Dispatcher coordinates daily schedules for crews and equipment, assigns jobs, and adjusts routes to meet project timelines and client needs. This role communicates directly with field teams, supervisors, and clients to provide updates, confirm job details, and resolve scheduling conflicts — while tracking job progress, maintaining accurate records of work orders and resource usage, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational procedures. The Dispatcher also responds to urgent requests, prioritizes work based on deadlines and safety considerations, and supports office staff with documentation and reporting as needed. Qualifications Experience dispatching, scheduling, or coordinating field operations in construction, paving, or a related industry Strong communication skills, including clear phone and email correspondence with crews, supervisors, and clients Basic computer proficiency with dispatch or scheduling software; able to maintain accurate digital and paper records Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to prioritize multiple projects and adapt to changing needs Understanding of, and commitment to, safety practices and procedures Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and making decisions under time pressure Spanish language proficiency is a plus High school diploma or equivalent; experience in paving, construction, or transportation industry preferred Reliable transportation to the Hayward, CA office; availability for a consistent full-time schedule, with occasional overtime as needed Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Paid time off Work Location: In person
