Dispatcher

Dispatcher Job Description: Our fleet continues to grow, and we are looking to add an additional dispatcher to our Logistics team, offering full benefits with weekly competitive pay. Prior trucking, warehouse, logistics, and/or cost control experience a plus! Candidate must have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, monitor drivers, provide updates to customers/brokers, enter reporting data, and negotiate the booking of loads. Position acts as primary interface between office, drivers, and maintenance by performing the following functions: Essential Functions: Monitor drivers, negotiate loads, and update customers/brokers as needed. Communicates with drivers including status checks and coordinates for any changes in routes, schedule, equipment, etc. and providing assistance as needed. Collects, analyzes, and reports vehicle information such as odometer, hub, ECM readings, fuel usage, scale slips, expenses, etc. Helps others in logistics accomplish job-related tasks of fleet management. Improves job knowledge through staff development including but not limited to adjusting to new requirements/regulations and attending educational workshops. General office duties including, but not limited to operating a multi-line phone system, scanning, data entry, recordkeeping, etc. Follows standards, procedures, and regulations along with other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Excellent communication, organization, and coordination skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and Outlook. Relevant work experience of at least 1 year.
