At this time, SCI is recruiting highly qualified candidates whose background and career goals meet our needs for a Director of Supply Chain - Planning in Huntsville, AL. In this role, you will lead, design, and optimize tactical and strategic planning frameworks across manufacturing and service sites, owning the S&OP/S&OE processes to synchronize demand, production capacity, and component availability while bridging business development forecasts and site operations. What You'll Do Strategic Planning & S&OP Ownership: Establish, mature, and govern the divisional Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process; oversee Master Production Schedule (MPS) and capacity models; define inventory strategies to maximize turns and manage Excess & Obsolete (E&O) materials. Systems, Data & Analytics: Serve as divisional architect for Material Requirements Planning (MRP) parameters; leverage advanced planning systems (e.g., Kinaxis, SAP IBP, Oracle ASCP) for real-time scenario modeling; manage KPIs including Forecast Accuracy, Schedule Attainment, OTTC, and DOS. Customer & Supplier Collaboration: Partner with Business Development and Program Management to analyze demand forecasts and mitigate BOM risks; collaborate with Procurement on pipeline commits, VMI, and consignment; lead responsive change management processes (ECOs, shortages, demand shocks). Team Leadership: Direct, mentor, and elevate a team of Supply Chain Planners, Master Schedulers, and Demand Analysts while scaling standardized planning playbooks across multi-site operations. What You'll Bring Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration. Experience: 8+ years of progressive supply chain planning experience within Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) or high-tech contract manufacturing. Leadership Track Record: 3+ years in a dedicated managerial or director-level role leading planning teams across a multi-site network. Technical & Operational Mastery: Expert knowledge of advanced ERP/MRP architecture (SAP, Oracle) and specialized planning software, along with deep understanding of Lean, Kanban, Pull systems, and Six Sigma methodologies. Competencies: Proven experience managing complex operating models (BTO, CTO, reverse logistics) with strong financial/statistical analysis and executive presentation skills. How to Stand Out MBA or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management. ASCM/APICS certification (specifically CPIM - Certified in Planning and Inventory Management).
