Director of Supply Chain Management Location: Remote – United States Employment Type: Full-Time Department: Supply Chain / Operations Reports To: Vice President of Operations / Chief Operating Officer About the Role We are seeking an experienced Director of Supply Chain Management to lead and improve the company’s supply chain operations across planning, sourcing coordination, inventory management, supplier performance, logistics, and distribution. This role will be responsible for developing practical supply chain strategies that support business objectives while improving visibility, reliability, cost management, and operational efficiency. The Director will work closely with Procurement, Operations, Finance, Sales, Customer Service, and other business functions to coordinate supply and demand, manage operational priorities, and support consistent product or service availability. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with company objectives and operating requirements. Lead supply planning, demand coordination, inventory management, logistics, and distribution activities. Establish supply chain policies, procedures, performance standards, and operating processes. Monitor inventory levels, supply requirements, lead times, service levels, and fulfillment performance. Partner with Procurement to support supplier selection, sourcing activities, supplier performance, and purchasing plans. Develop and maintain effective relationships with key suppliers, logistics providers, and other external partners. Monitor supplier performance, delivery reliability, quality, lead times, capacity, and cost trends. Coordinate with Sales and Operations to understand demand requirements and adjust supply plans accordingly. Work with Finance to manage supply chain budgets, working capital, inventory investment, and cost objectives. Identify potential supply constraints, operational risks, and capacity issues and develop practical contingency plans. Oversee logistics and distribution activities to support timely and efficient movement of products and materials. Establish and monitor supply chain KPIs, dashboards, forecasts, and management reports. Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, service issues, and opportunities for improvement. Review inventory policies and planning processes to maintain appropriate inventory levels while supporting customer requirements. Improve demand and supply planning processes and strengthen communication across operational teams. Support the implementation and optimization of ERP, warehouse management, transportation management, and supply planning systems. Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency, cost management, service performance, and operational visibility. Establish appropriate documentation, controls, and reporting practices across supply chain operations. Manage supply chain projects involving systems, suppliers, facilities, logistics, inventory, or process improvements. Recruit, develop, and manage supply chain professionals while establishing clear responsibilities and performance expectations. Qualifications 8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, operations, logistics, procurement, planning, or a related field. 3+ years of experience managing supply chain teams or operational functions. Demonstrated experience with supply planning, inventory management, supplier performance, logistics, and distribution. Strong understanding of demand planning, inventory control, purchasing coordination, transportation, and fulfillment processes. Experience developing supply chain performance metrics, forecasts, reports, and operational plans. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use operational data to support business decisions.
